I just changed mine last week or so thinking I will get more performance. Not a good idea though. Fixed the error like this: Go to This PC, right click properties, advance system settings, under the advanced click performance settings, again advanced under the performance options and you should see virtual memory.

I get that same type of error but it happens only when the computer shuts down or does a restart. Also it does not happen all the time only sometimes. The computer is brand new. It also happens on my new surface pro tablet but again only sometimes. I have also increased virtual memory but that didn't help either.
It is happening on a brand new Surface Pro tablet. Unless they screwed up at the factory how could the system memory be out of order. Actually I have no idea how you would check and replace this anyway but thanks for the suggestion. I had no problems before loading Windows 8. The opening process shows the memory message with the following sub-programs: conhost. It appears to be in the program startup exe programs. A few other programs do strange things. I ran the Windows Memory Diagnostic Test with no problems found. Nothing else was done to the unit.
I tried to go into the Data Excution Prevention program and change the perimeters but you can't do it in Windows 8. This thread is locked.
